    BRIEF DESCRIPTION

3,5-Dibromofluorobenzene is a pale yellow transparent liquid containing two symmetrically disposed bromine atoms and one fluorine atom. It is an ideal difunctional substrate for constructing disubstituted aromatic compounds.

    TECHNICAL INDICATORS

    Items Result
    Appearance Pale yellow transparent liquid
    Density 2.018 g/mL (25°C)
    Vapor pressure 0.234 mmHg (25°C)
    Purity (%) ≥99.5%

    APPLICATIONS

1.Pharmaceutical intermediate: Used in the synthesis of antitumor drugs (e.g., diarylurea analogues of sorafenib) and immunosuppressants (e.g., fluorine‑containing benzene rings of tacrolimus).
2.Pesticide intermediate: Used to prepare diamide insecticides (e.g., dibromo analogues of chlorantraniliprole) and imidazolinone herbicides (e.g., fluorine‑containing derivatives of imazamox).
3.Liquid crystal materials: 3,5-Dibromofluorobenzene serves as a bis‑reactive site for synthesizing rigid rod‑like molecules bearing two mesogenic units, used in wide‑temperature‑range liquid crystals.
4.Conjugated polymer monomer: Via Yamamoto polymerization or Suzuki polycondensation, used to synthesize fluorinated poly(p‑phenylene vinylene) (PPV) and other light‑emitting polymers for OLED emissive layers.

    STORAGE CONDITIONS

1.Store in a cool, dry, well‑ventilated area, protected from light, away from fire and heat sources.
2.Keep container tightly sealed; good sealing is required to prevent moisture absorption and volatilization. Glass or high‑density polyethylene containers are recommended; store in a well‑ventilated cabinet.
3.Storage temperature ≤30°C, relative humidity ≤80%; keep away from acids.
4.Ventilation systems should be equipped with static electricity grounding.
5.The storage area should be equipped with spill containment and appropriate collection materials.

    PACKAGE

1.Sealed glass bottles or HDPE bottles.
2.Other packaging forms available upon request.

    CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

Boiling point: 204-206°C (768 mmHg), flash point: >110°C, refractive index: ca. 1.5770. Both bromine atoms can undergo halogenmetal exchange or coupling reactions; under the influence of the fluorine atom, the reactivity of the two bromines (positions 3 and 5) is similar. Density is high (2.018), so the material feels heavy when handled. Irritating to skin and eyes; avoid contact.
