Ammonium perchlorate

Product Name: Ammonium perchlorate
CAS: 7790-98-9
Molecular formula: NH4ClO4
Molecular weight: 117.489
Einecs: 232-235-1

    BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Ammonium perchlorate is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula NH4ClO4. It is a white crystalline powder with deliquescent properties. Ammonium perchlorate is a strong oxidant and will explode when mixed with reducing agents, organic matter, flammable substances such as sulfur, phosphorus or metal powders. Contact with strong acid may cause fire and explosion hazard. Used for making explosives, fireworks, and analytical reagents, etc.

    USE

    1. Ammonium perchlorate is used as rocket propellant, explosive compounding agent, and can also be used to make fireworks and artificial anti-hail agents.
    2. Ammonium perchlorate can be used as a compounding agent, oxidant and analytical reagent for ammonium perchlorate explosives.
    3. Ammonium perchlorate can be used as an engraving agent. In addition, it is used for the determination of phosphorus content in agricultural scientific research.
    4. The spacecraft can use a solid mixture of aluminum powder and ammonium perchlorate (NH4ClO4) as fuel. When ignited, the aluminum powder is oxidized and releases heat, causing the ammonium perchlorate to decompose.
    5. Ammonium perchlorate is used to manufacture other borohydride salts, reducing agents, wood pulp bleaching, and plastic foaming agents.
    6. Ammonium perchlorate is used as a raw material for manufacturing diborane and other high-energy fuels, and is also used in the pharmaceutical industry.

    STORAGE CONDITIONS

Store in a cool, dry warehouse made of non-combustible materials, separated from combustibles, sulfur, carbonaceous items, fine metal powders, organic matter, or other easy oxides and inorganic acids. Do not store in places prone to fire. Avoid heat and moisture. When transporting, load and unload with care, and do not bump violently.
