    BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Ammonia water, also known as ammonia water, refers to an aqueous solution of ammonia. The main component is NH3·H2O. It is colorless, transparent and has a pungent smell. Ammonia water is volatile and has the general properties of some alkalis. It is made by passing ammonia gas into water. Industrial ammonia water is an aqueous solution containing 25% to 28% ammonia. Only a small part of the ammonia molecules in the ammonia water reacts with water to form ammonium ions and hydroxide ions, that is, monohydrated ammonia, which is a weak base that only exists in ammonia water. The freezing point of ammonia water is related to the concentration of ammonia water. The commonly used freezing point of 20% (mass fraction) ammonia water is about -35℃. The neutralization reaction of ammonia water and acid produces heat and is explosive.

    TECHNICAL INDICATORS

    Analyze Project Analysis Requirement
Appearance Appearance Colorless transparent liquid with strong pungent odor

    USE

    1. Used as agricultural fertilizer.
    2. Used in the chemical industry to manufacture various ammonium salts, aminating agents for organic synthesis, and catalysts for producing thermosetting phenolic resins.
    3. Used in the textile industry for wool spinning, silk, printing and dyeing industries to wash wool, woolen cloth, grey cloth for oil stains and to assist dyeing .
    4. Used to adjust pH, etc.
    5. Used in pharmaceutical, leather making, thermos flask lining (silver plating solution preparation), rubber and alkalization of grease .

    STORAGE CONDITIONS

1.Store in a cool, dry and ventilated place.
2.Keep away from fire and heat sources and avoid direct sunlight.
3.Keep the container tightly sealed. Keep away from acids, metal powders, etc.
4.Cooling measures should be taken for open-air storage tanks in summer. Personal protection should be taken during packaging and handling operations.
5.Be careful when handling to prevent damage to the packaging and containers.
6.Transport should follow the prescribed routes and avoid stopping in residential and densely populated areas .

    PACKAGE

    1.100KG/barrel or tank truck.
    2. Other forms of packaging can be provided according to customer needs.

    CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

    1. Corrosiveness: Ammonia water has a certain corrosive effect, and carbonized ammonia water is more corrosive. It has a strong corrosive effect on copper, a relatively weak corrosive effect on steel, and a slight corrosive effect on cement. It also has a certain corrosive effect on wood .
    2. Weak alkalinity: The weak alkalinity of ammonia water can turn colorless phenolphthalein solution red, purple litmus solution blue, and wet red litmus paper blue. Concentrated ammonia will produce white smoke when it meets volatile acids (such as concentrated hydrochloric acid and concentrated nitric acid) .
    3. Precipitation: Ammonia water can react with a variety of metal ions to generate insoluble weak bases or amphoteric hydroxides .
    4. Complexation: Complexation reaction occurs with Ag+, Cu2+, Cr3+, Zn2+, etc.
    5. Instability: It is easy to decompose into NH3 and water when exposed to light or heat. Laboratory ammonia water should be sealed in brown or dark reagent bottles and placed in a cool and dark place.
    6. Reducibility: Ammonia water has weak reducing properties and can be used in SNCR or SCR processes. It can also be oxidized by strong oxidants.
