    BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Dysprosium fluoride, with the chemical formula DyF3, is a colorless hexagonal crystal with a high melting point (1360°C) and boiling point (above 2200°C). It is insoluble in water, dilute acid, and alkali metal fluoride solutions, but soluble in strong mineral acids. This compound is stable at room temperature and pressure, but is hygroscopic, so it should be stored in a cool, ventilated, dry and airtight environment.
