Hexafluoropropylene
BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Hexafluoropropylene (HFP) is one of the basic raw materials for the organic fluorine industry and an intermediate for a variety of fluorine-containing compounds. Under pressurized conditions, hexafluoropropylene can be stored and transported in a liquid state without adding stabilizers. Polyperfluoroethylene propylene (FEP) can be obtained by copolymerizing hexafluoropropylene and tetrafluoroethylene. Compared with PTFE, FEP not only has the distinctive feature of being melt-processable, but also has excellent dielectric properties, electrical insulation properties, and resistance to corrosion. It has chemical solvent resistance, flame retardant properties, high and low temperature resistance, and can be used for a long time at temperatures of -80°C to 200°C.
