    BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Methanol, also known as "wood alcohol," is an organic compound and the simplest saturated monohydric alcohol. It is a colorless, transparent, flammable, volatile, and toxic liquid. Ingestion of 5-10 ml can cause blindness, and large amounts can be fatal. Methanol is non-corrosive to metals (except lead and aluminum) at room temperature and has a slight alcoholic odor. Its relative density is 0.792 (20/4℃), melting point -97.8℃, boiling point 64.5℃, flash point 12.22℃, autoignition point 463.89℃, vapor density 1.11, vapor pressure 13.33 kPa (100 mmHg 21.2℃), and the explosive limits of its vapor-air mixture are 6-36.5% (by volume). It is miscible with water, ethanol, ether, benzene, ketones, halogenated hydrocarbons, and many other organic solvents. It is commonly used as a solvent, antifreeze, fuel, or neutralizing agent.

    Purpose (USE)

Methanol has a wide range of uses and is a basic organic chemical raw material and high-quality fuel. It is mainly used in fine chemicals, plastics, and other fields to manufacture various organic products such as formaldehyde, acetic acid, chloromethane, methylamine, and dimethyl sulfate. It is also an important raw material for pesticides and pharmaceuticals.
    1. Methanol, after further processing, can be used as a new type of clean fuel and can also be blended with gasoline.
    2. Formaldehyde production by methanol oxidation: Methanol is directly oxidized to formaldehyde in the presence of high temperature, pumice silver, catalyst or other solid catalyst.
Polyoxymethylene (POM) is a high-performance engineering plastic with a wide range of applications. Formaldehyde is also used to produce nearly one hundred downstream products, including butanediol and hexamethylenetetramine.
    3. Methanol ammoniaation to produce methylamine: Methanol and ammonia are mixed in a certain proportion and synthesized at 370~420℃ and 5.0~20.0MPa pressure using activated alumina as a catalyst to obtain a mixture of monomethylamine, dimethylamine and trimethylamine. The mixture can then be distilled to obtain monomethylamine, dimethylamine or trimethylamine products.
    4. Dimethyl ether can be prepared by dehydration of methanol in the presence of a metallic silicon-aluminum catalyst or ZSM-5 molecular sieve.
    5. Methanol dehydrogenation to produce methyl formate. Methyl formate is a raw material for organic synthesis and can be used to produce formamide, dimethylformamide, etc.
    6. Methanol is used as a methylating agent and solvent in organic synthesis and is a raw material for methyl tert-butyl ether.
    7. Used for the separation of calcium sulfate and magnesium sulfate, the separation of strontium bromide and barium bromide, and as a reagent for the determination of boron.
    8. Used as a basic organic raw material, solvent, and antifreeze. Mainly used in the production of formaldehyde, fragrances, dyes, pharmaceuticals, gunpowder, and antifreeze.

    STORAGE CONDITIONS

1.Keep the container tightly closed and store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place.
2.Keep away from fire and heat sources; the storage temperature should not exceed 30 °C.
3.It should be stored separately from oxidants, acids, and alkali metals, and should never be stored together.
4.Explosion-proof lighting and ventilation facilities are used.
5.The use of mechanical equipment and tools that may generate sparks is prohibited.
6.The storage area should be equipped with leakage emergency response equipment and suitable containment materials.

    PACKAGE
