    BRIEF DESCRIPTION

Molybdenum hexafluoride is a chemical substance that is a white crystalline solid at low temperatures. It is highly hygroscopic and produces blue smoke in humid air. It is a strong oxidant. The allowable limit concentration (TLV) in air is 5mg/m3. The product is filled in steel bottles and stored and transported as toxic gas.

    TECHNICAL INDICATORS

    Analysis Requirement
    Exterior  White powder
    purity% 99.9%

    Purpose (USE)

    1. Catalyst: Molybdenum hexafluoride can be used as a catalyst in organic synthesis reactions, such as in the dechlorination reaction of chlorinated alkanes.
     2. Electronic materials: Molybdenum hexafluoride can be used to prepare molybdenum sulfide layers in two-dimensional materials, which has important application value for optoelectronic devices and electrochemical catalysts.

    STORAGE CONDITIONS

Molybdenum hexafluoride is stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse, away from fire and heat sources. The storage area should be equipped with leakage emergency response equipment.

    PACKAGE

Molybdenum hexafluoride is filled in seamless steel cylinders with volumes of 10L/8L/4L respectively . The specific packaging specifications can be customized and changed according to user needs.

    CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

White blocky product. Density 2.551g/cm3 (liquid, 17.5℃). Melting point 17.5℃. Boiling point 35℃. It does not react when exposed to dry air, chlorine and sulfur dioxide. Sensitive to moist air and produces blue molybdenum oxide. Large amounts of water dissolve and break down. In the presence of strong oxidants, many metals (except gold and platinum) can be corroded at room temperature, causing the metal surface to turn blue. It forms coordination compound M21[MoF8] with basic fluoride.
