Sulfuric acid
BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Sulfuric acid is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula H2SO4. It is the most important oxygen-containing acid of sulfur. Pure sulfuric acid is a colorless oily liquid that crystallizes at 10.36°C. It is usually prepared by tower method and contact method using its aqueous solutions of various concentrations. Sulfuric acid is a strong inorganic acid that reacts with most metals. High concentrations of sulfuric acid have strong water absorption and can be used as a dehydrating agent to carbonize carbohydrate-containing materials such as wood, paper, cotton and linen fabrics, and biological skins and flesh. When mixed with water, it also releases a lot of heat energy. It is highly corrosive and oxidizing, so it should be used with caution. It is an important industrial raw material that can be used to make fertilizers, drugs, explosives, pigments, detergents, batteries, etc. It is also widely used in industries such as petroleum purification, metal smelting, and dyes. It is often used as a chemical reagent and can be used as a dehydrating agent and sulfonating agent in organic synthesis.

USE
2.In the production process of petroleum products such as gasoline and lubricating oil used in the petroleum industry, concentrated sulfuric acid is required for refining to remove sulfur compounds and unsaturated hydrocarbons.
3.In the chlor-alkali industry, concentrated sulfuric acid is used to dry chlorine, hydrogen chloride, etc.
4.Strong acid cleaning etchant. Mainly used for cleaning silicon wafers in the integrated circuit manufacturing process.
5.Used in the production of pesticides and fertilizers.
6.In agricultural production, it is used to improve calcareous soil with high pH value.
7.Titanium alloys are used in the production of nuclear fuel for atomic reactors, the preparation of titanium, aluminum and other alloy materials for reactors, and the manufacture of materials for rockets, supersonic jet aircraft and artificial satellites.
8.Used in the preparation of intermediates in the dye industry, sulfonation reactions in the preparation of drugs in the pharmaceutical industry, and plasticizers for plastics, etc.
STORAGE CONDITIONS
1.Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse.
2.The warehouse temperature shall not exceed 35°C and the relative humidity shall not exceed 85%.
3.Keep container tightly closed; empty containers may contain hazardous residues.
4.Keep away from fire and heat sources. Smoking is strictly prohibited in the workplace; stay away from flammable and combustible materials.
5.Prevent vapors from escaping into the workplace air.
6.Avoid contact with reducing agents, alkalis and alkali metals.
7.Be careful when handling to prevent damage to the packaging and containers.
8.Equipped with appropriate types and quantities of fire-fighting equipment and leakage emergency treatment equipment.
9.When diluting or preparing solutions, the acid should be added to the water to avoid boiling and splashing that could injure people
